The Road, Taken :)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

How do you know that the choice you're making is the correct one? How many times do you get the opportunity to choose your path? How often does it happen that you know that you'll have to face a challenge at every step and you'll actually enjoy it? You know you're screwed but you're looking forward to it? How many times does it happen that you're happy about the fact that you chose the harder way? The elders tell you that every step in life is a challenge but exactly how many of those do you bring upon yourself?

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

You weigh your option. You have to decide. Its as if someone has kept you on a gun point and you have to make the choice. You know its not going to be easy. This decision can not be undone, yet you must choose fast or the time will run. Its a choice, you have to make, no matter easy or hard. Its a choice you have to make forgetting your easy and glorious past.

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

Trusting yourself you make your decision. You bet on yourself and take a leap of faith. You hope for it to be the best, you hope it will be the better than the rest. You doubt your decision for a second. They both are appealing but you must take only one. You face the biggest question. Which one to take? You know you can't turn back because time never waits.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

In the end after making the choice, in retrospection you realise. You come back to the questions you took while making one of the most important decisions of your life. Only this time, you not only have the answers but also the surety of your choice. Its not like the road less traveled by would be the easiest or even the best but if that is the one taken, the journey will be worth it.

The moment you can answer the questions posed at first, the moment you accept your life, including all the choices you made, the challenges you face, I think you can say for yourself that you've grown up and figured out life a little bit. :)
